iPhone 5 speed tests



Well it looks like Apple fans finally have some ammunition to use against Samsung, who have been running several ads saying how the GS3 is better than the iPhone 5. Here are the results of the Sunspider Javascript benchmark test:

 
And the results of the 3D graphics rendering benchmark:

As you can see whether it’s Javascript or Open GL rendering, Apple’s new A6 SoC is roughly twice as fast as the dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip used in the GS3. Will be interesting to see the hardware results of the Galaxy Note 2 which has a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos processor.

So while the iPhone 5 doesn’t have a large screen, memory card slot or a usb connection it does have an insanely fast processor.
